Over the last 10 years, Preston Hire has gone through a massive growth. With the company’s vision to never be stagnant and always looking for the next big thing.
Preston Hire knew there was a current growth in the New Zealand market, a natural course of action for the company to continue with the vision of growth.
In 2015 Preston Hire was asked to supply a Diesel/Electric UNIC-706’s by Naylor Love to assist in their refurbishment project of Auckland’s Sky City Casino.
Whilst the project was going ahead, Preston Hire saw a gap in the market for mini crane hire. Preston Hire contacted the New Zealand distributor of UNIC, Mimico and placed the order for our first 2 cranes, the URW-295 and URW-376.
Both diesel/electric models, as is the Preston Hire SuperCrane™ 706, giving greater flexibility for confined space requirements where fumes are an issue. All our cranes can work in a multitude of varying sites, industries and applications.
A desire to be the hire company of choice in mind, Preston Hire have recently employed its first National Sales Manager ‘Sean Reid’ to run the business and will be employing further staff in the near future.
With current orders for equipment in Auckland and Christchurch the aim is also to be seeking further orders in other major cities country wide.
The fleet of equipment will increase at a steady rate with an increase of inventory of the patented (loading Platforms) about to be added to the current stock.
Preston Hire SuperLift™ series of Scissor Lifts and Spider Lifts will soon be added as well as SuperSiteStorage™ (storage/shipping containers) to service the whole New Zealand market.
It’s not only an exciting time for Preston Hire but what we envisage to be a great new asset to the New Zealand construction and hire markets.
