Overview
We were initially contacted by CORDE to help with a challenging lift where a pump at their WWTP in Rolleston needed to be removed for an annual maintenance check. Our 295 Spidercrane was already on their site having been hired for other work required. CORDE quickly recognised this machine could be the perfect machine for their needs. CORDE took advantage of the opportunity whilst onsite and moved the 295 Spidercrane to other areas of the WWTP to complete these lifting jobs with ease.
Challenges
CORDE had deep holding tanks on site where large pumps were needed to be removed for maintenance. They required a crane that could provide accessibility over the permanent fixtures, a long reach and minimal footprint.
Our Solution
Our Supercrane 295 was the machine for the job. With its superior boom reach/with hook accessibility it was able to reach into the deep holding tanks with no trouble. The remote control was also a great feature allowing total visual and verbal communication to be maintained. With precise calculations and final positioning, the Spidercrane was able to safely support the pumps and get the job done.
Summary
It was fantastic to work with a new client and showcase some of the gear we have that could help them again in the future. Our Spidercrane allowed CORDE to safely complete this job in a timely manner with equipment designed for the task at hand. We also were reminded of the importance of a great operator with extensive experience and confidence in their work. We are delighted CORDE could COUNT ON US to get the job done.
